About the paperwork, please find below the list of the required papers for a legal wedding in Santorini.

PASSPORT COPIES OF BOTH PARTIES

FULL BIRTH CERTIFICATES OF BRIDE AND GROOM Both parties are obliged to provide a full birth certificate. Shorter versions will not be accepted.

Single Status letter or Affidavit of Marriage or CERTIFICATE OF NON-IMPEDIMENT for both the (bride and the groom). Please note that each country has a different name for this document This document confirms that you have not been married and that you are free to married. The document can be issued in your local Registrar’s office and it must not be issued more than 3 months before your wedding.

DEATH CERTIFICATE or DIVORCE CERTIFICATE IF ANY If either party has been divorced please provide a certified copy of the Decree Absolute.

ADOPTION CERTIFICATES IF ANY
All the above documents, except Passports, need to have apostille stamp on each of them. The apostille stamp serves the purpose of authenticating your document for use abroad. Each document needs its own stamp.
APOSTILLE STAMP FOR ALL DOCUMENTS

This stamp refers the legalization and validity of your documents for international use. (1961 Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents). The Apostille Stamp is necessary all required documents.
The couple will need to book an appointment with their local Registrar’s office in order to issue their Single Status of Letter or Affidavit of Marriage, but kindly note that these can be issued by their local Registrar’s office and it must not be issued more than 3 months before your wedding. It’s better to cross check with their registrar’s office the period that they should arrange their appointment due to lockdown.
All required and authenticated documents with apostille stamps need to be sent to me by e-mail at least 2 months prior the wedding date.
This is essential as I need to make sure all your documents are in order and approved by the Registrar Office.
TRANSLATIONS
All documents must be translated and certified in the Greek Embassy / Consulate with their Apostille Stamp.
It is necessary to know that the documents should be translated only by official translators from the Greek embassy or Consulate. Otherwise, the translation will not be acceptable.
These authenticated and translated documents need to be sent to our office by e-mail 2 months prior the wedding date.
This is essential as we need to make sure all your documents are in order and approved by the Registrar Office. We have to confirm that the paperwork is in order.
The couple must bring all the original documents with their apostille stamps and give all these papers to us to our pre-wedding meeting.
It is also good to know that all of your original documents in English with apostille (Birth Certificates, Affidavit of Marriages etc) and their translations, will be kept in the City Hall and they won’t be able to take them back.

WEDDING PACKAGES PAYMENT POLICY:
50% of the wedding services upon confirmation of wedding date, payment by bank deposit
Remaining amount to be paid 60 days prior the wedding date, payment by bank deposit
WEDDING PACKAGES CANCELLATION POLICY:
60 days prior to wedding date, 50% of the total cost of the wedding package & services
40-30 days prior to wedding date, 75% of the total cost of the wedding package & services
Less than 20 days, full cost
